## What is LN Bridge?

Stablecoins, the backbone of DeFi, have been notably absent from the Bitcoin Lightning Network. They offer a stable medium of exchange, mitigate volatility, and facilitate seamless transactions, making them essential for DeFi operations.

We are thrilled to introduce LN Bridge, where all token standards converge into Taproot Assets to leverage the proven global instant settlement and 1M+ TPS on Lightning Network.

By bridging ERC20 USDT, we enable:

1. Users on Lightning to hold onto an asset that is not subject to high volatility.
2. Payees who are already accepting Lightning payments in Bitcoins to also accept USDT and payers who want to pay in USDT on Lightning Network.
3. Lightning Network in supporting more complex financial activities and services, driving innovation and increasing financial inclusivity within the Bitcoin ecosystem.

In the initial phase, users can bridge from ERC20 USDT on Ethereum into Taproot Assets on Bitcoin, while enjoying USDT and $TREAT APR rewards.

Please note that the bridging service is only bilateral or one-way, in other words, users would not be able to bridge back from Taproot Assets to the ERC20 token standard.\

The bridged assets can be traded on the LN Exchange. Additionally, upon the release of Taproot Assets official USDT in the future, the bridged USDT will be made equivalent.

#### How is LN Bridge APR calculated and generated?

The LN Bridge APR is calculated and generated through two primary sources:\
(a) an estimated APR from staking on DeFi apps such as Aave, and\
(b) protocol incentives in the form of $TREAT APR rewards until our platform token is launched.

The stipulated APR does not factor in the LN Points Airdrop.\

\&#xNAN;*\*Rewards will be bi-weekly. Users will need to claim the rewards manually.*

**What is Bridging XP?**

Bridging XP is primarily used for calculating USDT & $TREAT rewards.

You can accumulate Bridging XP via the following methods:

* Cumulative bridged USDT amount via LN Bridge
* Spot Trading volume in USDT
* Perpetual Trading volume in USDT
* USDT Holdings (including USDT in Spot & Perp account on LN Exchange)

#### What is the minimum amount of USDT (ERC20) required for deposits via LN Bridge?

The minimum deposit amount is 1 USDT.

#### How secure is the LN Bridge?

The security of the LN Bridge is a top priority. Specifically for USDT, the LN Bridge employs a simple contract, which, unlike trustless and trust-minimized setups, is less vulnerable to smart contract vulnerabilities. This setup involves custody and a trusted framework. The service has undergone rigorous internal testing to ensure its utmost security.

It's important to note that asset standards supported on the LN Bridge in the future may vary, and some may employ a trustless or trust-minimized setup.
